Work Horse Construction Group was founded by Brock Harvey in April of 2008.  The company has been growing steadily ever since, quietly building a reputation for quality, service, and integrity. For a company that continues to excel, we have a minimum of management layers. Brock stays close to each project to ensure every client gets exactly what they want. The Work Horse team is highly experienced and each employee's commitment to our projects shows throughout the design/build process.


Brock Harvey-President/Owner

Brock Harvey is the founder of Work Horse and a key player in every contract. Brock majored in an Agri-Business degree at the University of Missouri -Columbia. He was an active member on the Tiger football team, lettering four years. While attending school, Brock has always had a passion for the construction industry and worked as the "grunt" man for multiple construction firms. Through hard work and dedication, founding Work Horse fulfilled a dream of running a construction company on his own. Post college, he worked four years for a large St. Louis home builder before joining one of St. Louis' most respected general contractors. Through this work as a superintendent, estimator, and project manager, Brock was able to continue his education in the industry and use these valuable experiences to own and operate his own enterprise.


Kevin "Buddha" Miller- Vice President

From day one at Work Horse, Kevin has played a vital role in every job from start to finish. In his first year with the company, Kevin managed 82 total jobs and completed every one with a satisfied customer. As Vice President of Construction, he is an amazing and productive asset to Work Horse. He came to the company with over 25 years of experience working with The Jones Company, a well-known homebuilder around the St. Louis area. This is where Kevin began his career as an apprentice carpenter and through the years he worked his way up the ladder to crew foreman and finally a construction management position. While providing unprecedented service to the company, he also shows each client that their project is the most important. With this attitude, it shows each client is more important than any job the company is pursuing. Kevin also has an amazing talent in that he understands that while processes are vital it's quality results that really count.


Sandy Zelle-  Administrator

With over 20 years experience in the construction industry Sandy joined the Work Horse team in 2009.  She works alongside Brock to organize and supervise administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the office.  Sandy is highly organized and detail oriented, keeping bi-weekly cost reports for our custom home clients and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all projects and company related expenses. Sandy believes "Being a part of the creative and professional process of the Work Horse team and seeing the clients visions come true, is a very rewarding part of my job.”


Chelsea Scott- Designer

Chelsea has always had a passion for design. Her ambition to use her creativeness, imagination and design talents lead her to pursue an Interior design degree at the Stevens Institute of Business & Arts. While attending college, she climbed the corporate ladder and is excited to now be a part of the Work Horse team. She loves traveling, the mountains, fairy lights, podcasts, wood work and Joanna Gaines! Chelsea looks forward to applying her creative talents in building a home & seeing all the different elements come together to give life to each project.
